Like a bolt of lightning, you lit up our world,

Providing light we didnt know we craved.

Your giggle enchanted us, your tears tore at our hearts.

Your hugs comforted, your optimism inspired us.

You made us better because you were so good.

We wanted to be everything to you because you were all to us:

Our princess, our angel, our daughter, our love, our AnaBelle.

We miss you so much, so much.

AnaBelle loved everyone she met, and brought joy to everyones lives that she touched.

There was never a bad day when AnaBelle was around.

For those of you who do not know - I don't really know at this point who knows - this letter is to inform you that at 8:30 AM on May 5, 2003, my daughter, AnaBelle, was killed while crossing the highway to get on the bus.

AnaBelle Fay Miller was born December 15, 1995, in Kirksville, Mo. Her parents are Daren A. and Belynda Fay (Adkins) Miller. She had one brother, Jordan, and one sister, Rebeka.  AnaBelle was a student at Daniel Boone Elementary in St. Charles County, Mo. She was a girl scout in her second year and was a Brownie. AnaBelle played tee-ball last year and hoped to play again this year.

AnaBelle adored her grandparents and her great aunts and uncles.  She also loved her Mommy and Daddy very much.  She listed her entire extended family every night in her prayers.

AnaBelle admired her brother, Jordan, and loved to play with him. They especially enjoyed watching Americas Funniest Home Videos together. AnaBelle was the best big sister to Rebeka, who has autism. She would literally make Rebeka play with her; she wouldnt allow Rebeka to go off by herself and sit alone. AnaBelle was constantly singing and playing with Rebeka. She prayed every night that Rebeka would start to talk.

AnaBelles favorite color was purple, but it recently changed to light green when she fell in love with green 7-Up Jell-o. At a Girl Scout Mother/Daughter Tea on Sunday, May 4, 2003, she answered several questions for her Mom. Her favorite food is pineapple, her favorite dessert is 7-Up Jell-o, her favorite place to shop Target (because they have slushies), her favorite place to take a vacation is a lake, her favorite animals are large and small cats, her favorite drink was a green Twister flavor, and her favorite sport is basketball she watched Space Jam over and over last week.

AnaBelle was a flash of energy when she entered a room. She touched everyone she met. She never said she didnt like someone, and she could talk to just about anyone, too. AnaBelle loved to sing, dance, swim, read and be read to, do math problems, and watch cartoons. She loved to play games such as I Spy, Pass the Story, The ABC Game, etc., while riding in the car.
